At least that's what you'd be asking if you didn't know him.

Ryuoji can control his steadily growing height about as much as one can control the height of a bamboo without actually cutting it, his intimidating aura has been with him since his evolution but apparantly didn't come with an off switch leaving Ryuoji with rather minimal control over what it does, his strength comes from his species hardy nature and he rarely uses it if only to keep people from being scared and when he does use it he's usually helping someone out. Whenever he tries to go shopping there is sometimes a shop keeper or two who shy away from him and just give him stuff for free so he won't scare away their more easily intimidated customers. He speaks politely to everyone he meets both because the teachers in the school he went to as a child taught him as such and also because he hopes it will make people feel more comfortable around him. He lives with his brother and young housekeeper spending his free time gardening and reading interesting books. When he is doing neither of those things he is usually working as an explorer alongside his brother and generally being a stand up citizen

Surprised? Well shame on you.

Ryuoji's rather imposing figure doesn't actually do much for him. It gets in the way when he tries to communicate with most people, and if not brought up its always the elephant in the room so to speak. None of these problems are made any easier by the fact that Ryuoji is fairly shy. He doesn't like to be touched suddenly and is often concerned if he is bugging the people around him.

However Ryuoji is not unhappy just rather lonely and disgruntled with his situation. He finds it annoying to be given stuff for free and will often leave money for the shopkeeper to find in order to properly pay for his purchase, he rather likes animals and does his best not to hurt them when placed in direct confrontation with them.

Surprisingly peaceful minded, Ryuoji will always try to talk things out or otherwise solve a problem with as little violence as possible if the option presents itself. When it does not however, Ryuoji allows himself to fight, though depending on whom he is fighting and for what reason he may hold back to prevent any unneeded harm.

Despite his rather calm disposition Ryuoji can become very flustered or upset at the right provocation. He does not like to be treated suspicously and will become anxious to prove he is of no threat in such a situation. If he feels like he is being ignored or put aside when he has something to say he will become somewhat frustrated with himself and others though still hold a polite face.

The only real way to get to Ryuoji is to make him angry, which is a feat in itself. However Ryuoji is still mortal and wittling away at his patience is usually not suggested as he will become agitated and upset just like any reasonable person. The only difference being that his intimidating aura will fluctuate in size and strength depending on the calmness of his mood and and strength of his emotions. Finally if for some strange reason you want to make Ryuoji hate you or just make him upset enough to attack you, there are a few ways of doing this. You could cause grevious harm to innocent people, destroy his beloved garden, or, and this is highly suggested to be avoided at all costs, greviously harm someone he loves such as his elder brother. Ryuoji will not tolerate such actions and will respond accordingly and in what he feels is the most appropriate course of action at the time.

Ryuoji is a kind and patient person placed in an intimidating body. He doesn't mind the occasional positives his abilities provide him, but he wishes they would not make is so hard for him to communicate and make friends. However, for those who overpower or just get used to his off putting appearance and aura, they will find a devoted and trustworthy friend who appreciates nothing more than a friend to have a cup of tea with.

History: Ryuoji does not remember much before the age of 5. He remembers that he did have parents, but thats pretty much it. After that he only remembers being all alone in an alleyway. At his age, Ryuoji would have surely died on his own had he not met Kozo.
The older boy seemingly took him under his wing and even gave him his name making Ryuoji view him as a big brother. He took part in a few of Kozo’s jobs but after messing up severely on one job, Kozo nearly abandoned him. Ryuoji couldn’t stand the idea of being alone again, and followed Kozo. He witnessed him being attacked by three of the men he worked for managed to distract them long enough for Kozo to manage to grab Ryuoji and flee.
The two reconciled after that, and Kozo took Ryuoji to Gale Spring where he began going to school along with other children. As Ryuoji grew older he began to realize that Kozo was financing his education through thievery and confronted him. Afterwords he ran off and attempted to confront a group of thieves rather recklessly in order to prove he did not need his brother anymore. However both he and Kozo, who had followed him, were captured.
